The HS-48-280-200 complete battery is a high-performance, fully configured, and ready-to-use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery storage system designed for residential or commercial applications with high energy demands. The battery delivers a capacity of 16 kilowatt-hours and a continuous power output of 10,240 watts (48 volts and 200 amps), making it ideal for energy storage in photovoltaic systems to increase home energy independence. Based on top-grade LiFePO4 battery cells, known for their exceptional safety, durability, and efficiency, the battery features a battery management system (BMS) that monitors all battery parameters. Because the battery is fully configured and delivered ready for immediate use, it can be easily integrated into your electrical grid – eliminating the need for complicated installation and connection. Thanks to its modular design, multiple identical batteries can be easily connected in parallel (even retroactively) to increase storage capacity and power output as needed.

Inverter Specifications

Compatibility: The battery is compatible with many commercially available 48V/52.1V inverters, including inverters from brands such as Victron, Deye, SMA, Growatt, Phocos, Lumentree, and similar manufacturers. Data communication: The battery can communicate with inverters via the existing CAN or RS485 interfaces. For correct communication, the battery's data protocol must be configured for the inverter manufacturer. By default, it is configured for data communication with Victron inverters. If you are not using a Victron inverter, please inform us of your inverter type immediately after placing your order so that we can configure the battery for communication with your inverter.

Communication between the battery and the inverter is via standard network cables. Data bus adapters are required for communication with Victron and SMA inverters; these can also be purchased from us.

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells: The battery contains 16 high-grade LiFePO4 battery cells from the brand manufacturer EVE (Grade A+). LiFePO4 battery cells represent the safest cell chemistry currently available and are characterized by exceptional longevity (8000 cycles), high efficiency, and proven energy technology. Each cell is individually tested (test reports are included).

Battery Management System (BMS): A modern and high-performance BMS with an integrated active balancer is used, which monitors all battery parameters such as individual cell voltage, charge/discharge current, and temperature, and interrupts the current flow if necessary to protect the battery. The active balancer ensures perfectly balanced individual cell voltages, even over many years.

Short-circuit protection: For maximum safety, an additional mechanical short-circuit and overcurrent protection independent of the BMS is installed.

Parallel operation: The battery can be easily connected in parallel with other identical units. This allows both the overall power and the total capacity of the battery array to be easily increased.

Display: The battery features a color touchscreen display that shows all important battery parameters.

Delivery

The battery will be delivered to you fully configured and ready for use via freight carrier and can be connected directly to the inverter. Delivery time for freight carrier shipments is 2-5 business days. Please provide your telephone number during the ordering process so that the freight carrier can easily reach you for delivery.

Maintenance and repair

The battery is essentially maintenance-free. All battery components are securely screwed together and deliberately not welded. This ensures easy repairs with standard tools, even many years from now. Every component can be removed and replaced individually. Furthermore, because it is a low-voltage battery (48V), there is no risk of electric shock, unlike with high-voltage batteries (200-1000V).
