The HS-48-280-200 complete battery is a powerful, fully configured, and ready-to-use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery storage system designed for residential or commercial applications with high energy requirements. The battery delivers a capacity of 16 kilowatt-hours, a continuous output of 10,240 watts (48 volts and 200 amps), and is ideal for energy storage in photovoltaic systems to increase home energy self-sufficiency. The battery is based on top-quality LiFePO4 battery cells, which are characterized by particularly high levels of safety, durability, and efficiency, and features a battery management system (BMS) that monitors all battery parameters. Because the battery is delivered fully configured and ready for use, it can be easily integrated into your power grid—no complicated setup or connection required. Thanks to its modular design, several similar batteries can be easily connected in parallel (even retrospectively) to increase storage capacity and performance as required.

Inverter specifications

Compatibility: The battery is compatible with many commercially available 48V/52.1V inverters, including Victron, Deye, SMA, and Growatt inverters. A comprehensive list of compatible inverters can be found at: List of compatible inverters

Data communication: The battery can communicate with inverters using the existing CAN or RS485 interfaces. For correct communication, the battery's data protocol must be configured to the inverter manufacturer. By default, this is configured for data communication with Victron inverters. If you are not using a Victron inverter, please inform us of your inverter type immediately after ordering so that we can configure the battery to communicate with your inverter.

Communication between the battery and the inverter is established via standard network cables. Communication with Victron and SMA inverters requires data bus adapters, which can also be purchased from us.

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells: The battery contains 16 premium LiFePO4 battery cells from the brand manufacturer EVE (Grade A+). LiFePO4 battery cells represent the safest cell chemistry currently available and are characterized by exceptional longevity (8,000 cycles), high efficiency, and proven energy technology. Each installed cell is individually tested (including the included test reports).

Battery management system (BMS): A modern and powerful BMS with an integrated active balancer is used, which monitors all battery parameters such as individual cell voltage, charge/discharge current, and temperature, and interrupts the current flow if necessary to protect the battery. The active balancer ensures perfectly balanced individual cell voltages, even for years.

Short circuit protection: For maximum safety, an additional mechanical BMS-independent short-circuit and overcurrent protection is installed.

Parallel operation: The battery can easily be connected in parallel with other identical units. This makes it easy to increase both the overall power and capacity of the battery system.

Display: The battery has a color touch display on which all important battery parameters are shown.

Delivery

The battery will be delivered fully configured and ready for use by a shipping company and can be connected directly to the inverter. Delivery time for shipping by a shipping company is 2-5 business days. Please provide your telephone number during the ordering process so the shipping company can easily reach you for delivery.

Maintenance and repair

The battery is essentially maintenance-free. All components are screwed together using high-quality screws and deliberately not welded. This ensures easy repairs with standard tools even years down the line. Each component can be removed and replaced individually. Furthermore, since it is a low-voltage battery (48V), there is no risk of electric shock, as is the case with high-voltage batteries (200-1000V).
