Warranty conditions for 3-year guarantee

  1. Warranty period and scope
    In addition to the statutory warranty, Dr. Sellmair NanoElektroTechnik GmbH provides end consumers with a voluntary manufacturer's warranty of three years.


    The warranty period begins on the original purchase date (invoice date). The warranty is transferable if the warranty holder sells the product to another end user.

    Repairing the product or providing replacement services does not extend the warranty period. Consumables and wear parts are excluded from the warranty.

  2. Requirements and enforcement
    The prerequisite for a warranty claim is a defect or malfunction that prevents the product from being used as intended or restricts it disproportionately.

    Claims under this warranty must be made by written notification to Dr. Sellmair NanoElektroTechnik GmbH no later than 14 days after the defect occurs.

The product must be sent to the warranty provider for inspection. Please ensure that the product or its components are securely packaged to prevent damage during transport.

    Within Germany, the return of the tested or repaired product is at the expense of the warranty provider. For returns outside of Germany, the warranty holder must bear the shipping costs.

  3. Warranty service
    Warranty coverage is limited to the original purchase price. The manufacturer's liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement, repair, or refund of the product. The choice between replacement, repair, or refund is at the discretion of the warrantor. If a defective product is no longer available, the warrantor reserves the right to replace it with a technically equivalent product from the current product range.

    A product or its parts replaced under a warranty service become the property of the warrantor upon provision of the warranty service.

    Further claims, in particular for compensation for direct or indirect damages caused by the defect of the device, costs incurred through removal and installation, or lost profits, are excluded, unless liability is mandatory under applicable law.

  4. Warranty exclusions
    Damage, defects, and malfunctions caused by the following are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty:
    - Failure to follow the operating instructions
    - force majeure (e.g. lightning strike, power surge, severe weather, flood, fire)
    - normal wear and tear
    - mechanical impact such as fall or deformation
    - improper use
    - faulty installation, configuration, commissioning or operation
    - Malfunction of other connected devices
    - Failure to observe safety precautions
    - Unauthorized changes, programming, or repairs

  5. Place of performance and jurisdiction
    This warranty is governed by German law. The place of performance for the obligations arising from this warranty is Munich, Germany.To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany.
