In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to point out the following to you:
You are As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return old batteries that we have or have had in our range as new batteries to our shipping warehouse (shipping address) free of charge. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% by mass of lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury.
Particularities when selling starter batteries
Im In connection with the sale of vehicle batteries, if you are an end user, we are obliged under § 10 BattG to charge a deposit of EUR 7.50 per vehicle battery including sales tax if you do not return an old vehicle battery at the time of purchasing a new vehicle battery. The deposit is not included in the purchase price and is shown next to the final price on the item.
If you return an old vehicle battery to us that we have or have had in our range as a new battery in accordance with § 9 BattG, we are in Within the framework of the statutory provisions, we are obliged to take them back free of charge and to refund the deposit amount.
Insofar as we have issued a deposit stamp in accordance with Section 10 (1) sentence 3 BattG, the refund of the deposit upon return of the old vehicle battery is dependent on the return of the deposit stamp

It is not permitted to return the old battery by post due to the dangerous goods ordinance.
Used vehicle batteries can alternatively also be returned free of charge to Wertstoff - and recycling centers. The deposit we collect will not be refunded by the public recycling centers. However, you have the option there of having the return of the old vehicle battery acknowledged on the deposit voucher. You will receive the battery deposit back from us upon presentation of the receipted deposit label.
